Instructor Renewal Course | EC/IR II Proficiency | NRC Regulations

$0.00 / year for 5 years

Description

DOT places the responsibility for Calibration Technician certification on the manufacturer of the EBT device. Anyone who performs a calibration on the equipment must have a certificate issued by the manufacturer [49 CFR Part 40.233(c)(5)]. Therefore, Intoximeters offers an Instructor training program that authorizes attendees to train Calibration Technicians for whom Intoximeters will issue the certification.

In order for Intoximeters to maintain a high level of proficiency and field training, we have chosen to require our Instructors to renew their Instructor certification on an annual basis. Based on feedback received from Instructors who renew their certification annually, it is believed this is a prudent measure to maintain on-going proficiency.

Under DOT’s latest regulations, BATs have to be refresher trained no less often than every five years from the original date of certification. To be consistent with the Federal Regulations, Intoximeters has implemented a recertification requirement for Calibration Technicians.
